Safeguarding

Frogmore Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This means that we have both Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures in place.  All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Parents and carers are welcome to read the policy which is available below.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.  We will ensure that our concerns about students are discussed with their parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Frogmore Community College has a team of trained safeguarding leaders.  The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Jenna Edwards-Smith

We are delighted to announce that, for the very first time, we will be hosting FrogFest on Tuesday 30th June. As a celebration of our students' hard work and achievements throughout the year, each year group will be invited to attend FrogFest during a designated time slot across the school day. The rest of the day will be their normal timetable and we aim to avoid missing core lessons where possible. The event promises to be a fantastic day of fun, featuring: Inflatables Interactive games and activities A variety of stalls An ice cream van As a special treat, every student will receive a free ice cream to enjoy during the event. To help support the event, we are asking for a suggested donation of £1, which will be collected during tutor time. Students are also welcome to bring a small amount of spending money (maximum £5) should they wish to purchase items from a limited number of paid stalls, such as our charity cake stall. We are looking forward to giving our students a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate together and make some wonderful memories at our first-ever FrogFest! #frogmorecommunitycollege #yateley #hampshire #FrogFest Image

The Performer’s Place are currently holding auditions for their upcoming production of The Addams Family. This is a fantastic opportunity for local young performers to be part of such a well-loved, high-energy and character-driven musical. It is ideal for students who are ready to take the next step in their performance training. It offers them the chance to develop their confidence, stage presence, vocal ability, acting skills, character work, discipline and teamwork within a focused rehearsal environment. Every performer will have the chance to create a memorable character, contribute meaningfully to the show and feel valued as part of the company. Auditions are open to students in Year 7 and above and will take place on: Tuesday 7th July or Tuesday 14th July Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays in Fleet the Performer's Place studio, with the production taking place in February. To celebrate how seriously and maturely they have taken the beginning of their GCSE exams, Year 11 had ice lollies in their final lesson of the half term! We are immensely proud of students, who have shown outstanding behaviour and attendance, conducting themselves in a way that brings great credit upon both themselves and our school community. We are extremely grateful for your support at home, which has enabled us to reach such high standards. We would also like to take this opportunity to invite students to our Leavers’ Day on Monday 22nd June. This will be a special occasion where students can sign shirts, spend time together, and say their goodbyes to friends and staff. We will also be holding a final assembly to celebrate their time with us. Following the popularity of our recent Year 6 workshops, we are delighted to announce that we will be running some exciting extra-curricular workshops for Year 5 students, starting on Tuesday 9 June! We are keen to strengthen our bonds with the families and primary schools in our community and show you and your child what Frogmore has to offer. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for your child to get a taste of secondary school life before they leave their primary school next year. The sessions will take place after school at Frogmore from 3.30pm-4.30pm and will be run by some of our teachers and students.
