Vision and Ethos
The Frogmore family learns together, going above and beyond to create the conditions in which everyone can flourish. We care about, inspire and challenge each other so that we can all achieve excellence.
There is something very special about the atmosphere and ethos at Frogmore; something that is so frequently commented upon by visitors to the school.
At the heart of this ethos is our notion of the Frogmore family.
Each and every member of our Frogmore family is valued: whatever their strengths, they are supported to flourish and excel. Our small size means every student is truly known as an individual.
The school's outstanding caring culture, as emphasised by Ofsted, is fundamentally important to us. It is this, combined with our high quality teaching and learning and our determination to provide opportunities for every individual to excel, which enables our students to be so successful.
High standards are expected and are the norm. Only the very best behaviour, attitudes, appearance and learning are acceptable.
A culture of mutual respect is well-established: every member of the Frogmore community is important, valued and appreciated. Underpinning this culture is an explicit commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children, which is shared by every staff member and volunteer.
Relationships are given the highest priority. Strong relationships between staff, students, parents, as well as between the students themselves, create a healthy climate in which everyone can thrive. We believe that, within this atmosphere, our students discover that it is possible to enjoy their school years and leave with tremendous prospects. We are proud of all our students and their achievements.
We have a deep commitment to excellence and to providing an educational experience that is exceptional. And we always believe we can do better! Staff work with tireless commitment, demonstrating what it means to go ‘above and beyond’ in their quest to create the optimum conditions.
We not only want our students to excel in their GCSEs, which they are certainly doing, but we also want to help them develop into responsible, confident and caring young adults capable of making good choices in life.
In every respect we truly are ambitious for all of our students. Come and experience this ethos and atmosphere for yourselves.
