Medical Information

Medicines

If your child needs medication during the school day, please ensure it is clearly labelled with their name and dosage instructions, and brought to reception at the start of the day. This allows us to administer medication safely and accurately.

Students should not carry medicines themselves, with the exception of essential items such as EpiPens, asthma inhalers, and diabetic equipment, which must be available to them at all times.

Paracetamol

We can only administer paracetamol if prior permission has been given on the registration form. For health and safety reasons, paracetamol will only be given between breaktime and the end of lunchtime.

Students feeling unwell during the school day

If a student begins to feel unwell during the school day, they should report to reception at break or lunchtime for assessment.

Students are not permitted to contact home directly. If a student chooses to do so, their mobile phone will be confiscated. We ask for your support in reinforcing this expectation and kindly request that parents do not contact students by text or phone during the school day.

Vaccinations

During their time at Frogmore, your child will be invited to take part in national vaccination programmes. Information will be sent home at the appropriate time, and parental consent will be required. Vaccinations will be administered in school by the relevant healthcare providers.
