Pastoral Care
Our caring and well-structured pastoral system helps every student feel known, supported and able to do their best.
Tutor Groups
Tutor time is an important part of the day, providing a regular opportunity for guidance, support and personal development. Each day has a different focus, from sharing school updates and preparing for interform activities to discussing topics such as wellbeing, resilience, current events and character development. It’s also a time to reinforce high standards, with regular checks on uniform and equipment, helping students stay organised and ready to learn.
Form Tutors
Each Tutor Group is led by a Form Tutor, who is your child’s main point of contact and advocate within the school. Form Tutors take time to know their students well and, where possible, stay with the same group throughout their time at Frogmore. They provide day-to-day support, monitor attendance and wellbeing, and are usually the first person parents should contact with any questions, concerns or updates.
Head of Year
Each year group is led by a Head of Year, who plays a key role in shaping the ethos of the year group and supporting every child’s personal and academic journey. The Head of Year works closely with Form Tutors to ensure consistency, deliver an engaging and meaningful tutor time programme, and maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance and student wellbeing. They also lead regular assemblies, support students through any challenges, and help coordinate communication between home and school when needed. Together, the Form Tutor and Head of Year form the backbone of our pastoral care. They ensure that every child is supported, guided and inspired throughout their journey at Frogmore and that parents know who to turn to.
