Welcome to Frogmore - Transition Support
Starting secondary school is a big step, and we want every student to feel happy, confident and well supported as they make the move to Frogmore. We know that this change can bring a mix of excitement and nerves for both students and parents, so our pastoral team works closely with families and primary schools to ensure every child feels welcomed and ready to start their Frogmore journey.
The timeline below shows the transition programme for students who will be joining in Year 7 in September 2026. Families applying for September 2027 entry can use this as an indication of the activities and support we typically provide. Once arrangements for the 2027 intake have been confirmed, an updated timeline will be published.
Our aim is simple: that every student arrives at Frogmore feeling that they already belong, knowing where to turn for support and looking forward to the opportunities ahead.

In-Year Transition – Joining Frogmore during the School Year
For students joining Frogmore at any other point during the school year, bespoke meetings are arranged for students and their families following the offer of a school place.
These meetings provide an opportunity to:
- Visit the school
- Meet the Head of Year for the relevant year group
- Ask questions and discuss support for settling in
